SemTem is a research corporation working to design methods for using older electron microscopes with newer control equipment to facilitate STEM education.
Educational institutions often receive older electron microscopes as donations, but they lack learning value because they are notoriously difficult to restore to working order and operate.
Our eventual goal is to return educational value to these donated electron microscopes by replacing the outdated control equipment. We are currently researching how to make this a reality.
